Army PFC Anthony J. White, 21, of Columbia, SC, died on March 25, 2007.
He was killed in Baqubah, Iraq, when a suicide bomber on a scooter detonated an explosive while he and three other paratroopers handed out candy to a group of Iraqi children. White was assigned to 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC.
White graduated from Richland Northeast High School in 2003, where he played basketball.
