SPC Adam McKamey Wenger, 27, of Mount Pleasant, died November 5, 2008 in Tunnis, Baghdad. Wenger’s death has been listed as a non-hostile accident that is under investigation. There are unconfirmed reports that he was working with a transport convoy when the vehicle was hit and overturned. No confirmed information is available as his death is under investigation.
A member of the Army, McKamey was in the1st BN, 76th Field Artillery, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. Wenger had been deployed four times to Kosovo, Afghanistan and twice to Iraq.
Wenger attended Christ Our King School and Wando High School.
