Army SGT James E. Craig, 26, of Hollywood, SC, died in Mosul, Iraq on January 28, 2008. He was on his third deployment to Iraq.
He was killed from wounds suffered when his unit encountered an improvised explosive device during convoy operations. Craig was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO.
Craig considered the Spokane, WA area his home; however, he spent some of his high school years in Hollywood, SC, graduating from North Charleston Academic Magnet High School in 2000.
