COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will be closed through May 30, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All tours, programs, and special events scheduled before that date are cancelled. However, Curator of Education Joe Long will be conducting special programs via streaming video. Watch our Facebook page for details.

It may prove necessary to remain closed longer, but that will be determined later.

“Our top consideration is to protect the health and safety of the public, and of our staff at the museum,” said Executive Director Allen Roberson. “We will keep the public informed as to what happens next.”

Some of the museum’s full-time staff will remain on duty and will be available by phone and email. The main number for the museum is 803-737-8095.

Watch our Facebook page for any further information going forward.
